SUMMARY:Exhibition: Nordic Table Design. A Silent Women's Revolution (1900-1970)
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition scheduled from June 20 to January 10\, 2027 presents approximately forty-five women designers\, artists and intellectuals from the period between 1900 and 1970\, telling a new story of design\, made up of multiple voices\, against the backdrop of the struggle for equal rights. \nIt traces the work and working conditions of these women who\, with a humanistic and typically feminine approach to design and direct knowledge of domestic needs\, carried out a “silent revolution” in the way of conceiving the table and\, more generally\, in women’s lives. \nThey redesigned plates\, glasses\, pots and cutlery\, making them more functional and economical without ever sacrificing beauty; they experimented with new materials\, colors and shapes\, according to the principle of the Modern Movement in which “form follows function”. \nA large number of high-quality artistic pieces\, partly in production\, on loan from companies\, partly historical pieces from private collections and museums\, describes the creative activity and working conditions of seventy years of women’s design of tableware. The exhibited artifacts testify to how table design represented much more than a simple aesthetic or functional pursuit: an authentic laboratory of social experimentation\, capable of redefining domestic roles\, family relationships and cultural models. \nThere is a special connection with the Faenza Prize\, International Ceramic Art Competition: from 1964 to 1974\, the section dedicated to industrial design was active\, with honorary prizes\, gold medals from the President of the Republic\, the Senate and the Chamber. \nMany Nordic manufacturers with women designers participated consistently: among these\, numerous prizes were awarded to Grete Ronning\, Marianne Westman\, Rut Bryk\, Hertha Bengtson to mention some of the best-known names. These award-winning artifacts are part of the MIC Faenza collection and will be displayed in a dedicated section of the exhibition. \nThis exhibition intends to retrace a fundamental moment in European design\, Faenza’s connection\, through essential silent protagonists. \nFrom June 23 to July 28\, at 6:00 PM\, every Tuesday guided aperitif tour of the exhibition. \nAdmission 3 euros\, in addition to the ticket price. Reservation required. The tour is held only upon reaching a minimum of 10 registered participants. \nRead more at\nwww.micfaenza.org

SUMMARY:Odysseys and Shipwrecks of Migrants in the Eastern Mediterranean
DESCRIPTION:Odysseys and Shipwrecks of Migrants in the Eastern Mediterranean is the exhibition by Italo Rondinella at the Museo San Domenico di Imola\, scheduled from October 17\, 2026 to February 7\, 2027.\nThrough photographs\, sounds\, and objects collected along the eastern migration route\, Rondinella recounts the stories of migrants and what remains of their journeys across the Mediterranean. An intense and engaging experience that transforms images and traces of the journey into memory and testimony. \nThe project stems from the photographer’s experience in Turkey\, where since 2013 he has documented one of the principal migration routes toward Europe. An exhibition that invites visitors to observe and listen\, bringing people and the stories concealed behind the migration phenomenon back to the center.

SUMMARY:All My Sons
DESCRIPTION:The Stignani Theatre in Imola hosts “All My Sons\,” one of Arthur Miller’s most intense and relevant plays\, in a production directed by and starring Elio De Capitani. \nSet in post-war America\, the drama tells the story of a seemingly normal family forced to reckon with the consequences of choices dictated by self-interest\, guilt\, and the desire to protect their loved ones. A painful past slowly re-emerges\, calling into question values\, responsibilities\, and family relationships.\nThrough powerful and deeply human writing\, Miller addresses universal themes such as individual responsibility\, the weight of one’s actions\, the conflict between personal interest and the collective good\, and the consequences of the choices made. \nA great classic of contemporary theater\, brought to the stage by Elio De Capitani with a vision capable of restoring all its dramatic force and extraordinary relevance. \nFor information and the complete program: click here
