Argillà Italia 2026

Argillà Italia is the long weekend of Ceramics in Faenza, one of the world capitals of majolica, from which the term Faïence originates.

Argillà Italia was born in 2008 as a spin-off from the French “mother” event Argilla – held in Aubagne, near Marseille. Since then, Argillà Italia has become one of the leading international ceramic festivals.

From September 4 to 6, 2026, the event returns to Faenza, world capital of ceramics, whose name Faïence is known as a synonym for majolica.

An invitation to discover the world of international artistic and artisan ceramics, with the market-exhibition along the streets of Faenza’s historic center, exhibitions and numerous cultural events.

Private and public spaces will open their doors to the public for the occasion with appointments and exhibitions, in a sort of off-circuit.

The Argillà Italia festival also hosts events and performances, including Mondial Tornianti (world pottery wheel championship); spectacular ceramic firings in outdoor kilns, demonstrations, workshops and activities for children.
