Guided tour of the Raffaele Bendandi House Museum
Raffaele Bendandi (1893-1979) was passionate about the study of astronomy and seismic phenomena from childhood and pursued these studies throughout his life, developing innovative theories with the aim of predicting earthquakes to save human lives. His home is now a museum housing his furniture, personal belongings, the instruments he created for his studies, an extensive library, and a wonderful stellarium inaugurated in 1986, which took three years of work to complete using fluorescent paints by the Franciscan Father Giovanni Lambertini.
